Day 11
The 2nd Glitzy Grotto and day 11 of our action packed 12 days of Christmas has been and gone.
What a fantastic turnout it was and such fun for all the children who attended. Mums, dads, Nans and Grand dads who came along to join the festivity were very appreciative and had as much fun as their little ones.
Following from Covid and all the restrictions we wanted this year to be special and to reach out to more families. It was back to the good old days with arts and craft activities to keep the children amused while they waited for Santa. Everyone had a packed lunch courtesy of Santa and so many families stayed and ate lunch with us while the children enjoyed a fun filled snowball fight with our mischievous elves.
The Grotto was so beautiful!! So many parents told us that it was magical and as good, if not better, than a commercial grotto.
Thanks to all the Families who supported us by turning out on an exceptionally cold today but it seems like it was worth it from the feedback we have had.
Special thanks to all the team at Five Children and Families Trust for all their hard work over the past two weeks, to our New Futures Volunteer Group who have supported us all to make it happen and Speke Choir who joined us to add some lovely festive music to the Christmas Cheer.
