Santa’s Visit at the centre
Santa Claus visited the children in the centre today, bringing presents for everyone!
We then did a little photoshoot with Santa and his new sleigh and Selfie Elfie!

Santa’s Sleigh!
Santa Claus came down to the center earlier in the year and asked Johann for a sleigh upgrade. As so many children have been good this year, this only means one thing, a bigger sleigh so more presents for everyone.

Drivers, if you see us, honk your horns!

Price increase
Dear Parents/carers,
We regret to inform you that we have had to make the decision to increase our childcare fees. As you are aware we have not raised our prices for over three years, however, all other costs have risen. This decision has not been made lightly but rather became a necessity. As many of you are aware we are a charity ran setting and cannot continue any further without this price increase.

Parents Notice
Please note we have had an outbreak at the setting of vomiting and diarrhoea over the past few days. We need to work together to reduce the spread of the infection.
The children have been involved in outdoor activities today whilst the entire setting was deep cleaned and steamed through and notified Public Health.
We will continue to express the significance of washing our hands and assisting our children when they do so to as this helps the prevent the spread of the infection.
We must stress the importance of following the 48-hour rule thoroughly. We cannot allow any children or staff back into the setting until at least 48 hours from the last episode of either vomiting or diarrhoea. We have also requested anyone with these symptoms to go and get a PCR Covid test.

Community Garden Opening at Five Children Centre
Today our Lord Mayor, Mary Rasmussen joined the Gruffalo to officially open our Nursery and Community Garden at Five Children Centre. It was very special to us that Mary cut the ribbon as she is a long term supporter of our Children Centres; and to the delight of all the children who joined us for the “Great Gruffalo Hunt” they were very surprised by a visit from the Gruffalo himself.

Muddy Footprints Gardens Opening
To celebrate the completion of the Muddy Footprints gardens at the Five Children Centre, after weeks of work from WM Exteriors Ltd a short event has been planned for August 19th.
