Gardens Design Update
After weeks of discussions with different garden landscaping companies, the revamping and extension of the Five Children Centre gardens is on the way. Through a global pandemic in 2020, Five Children & Families Trust have finally settled on and contracted WM Exteriors Ltd to deliver the project in 2021 over the next 8 weeks.
Since the construction of Brushwood in Speke, a brand new community care hub which focuses on person-centred dementia care, the Five Children Centre building inherited a bit of extra land at the back which will almost double the size of the original gardens.
The back area of the garden will consist of a reading area, a sandpit and multiple sections covering a wide range of activities with the children and will be more modern in appearance.
The side area will have a hill with tunnels where the children can explore as well as a section for older children of the after school club.
The front side section of the garden will be more organic, with woodlands where the children can explore and learn in a more natural environment .
The project started today and should last around 8 week. Please note during this time, the car park will be closed to the general public and solely used by the gardeners, their equipment and our organisation 2 vans.
